Sid is called by family & friends hales from the beautiful northshores of Oahu, Hawaii. As a boy Sid remembers watching his first movie bruce lee 'chinese connection',
Sid a practicing martial artists himself felt the influence from the movie that
he could leap over a ten foot wall. Sid's lands his "FIRST" role as the polynesian entertainer. (what a stretch) suddenly he found himself acting on a comedy bit before a studio audience. Sid remembers the director telling him, 'he was a natural and to pursue acting'. with that said and the auditions lack of Polynesian actors, and 10-years invested in polynesian entertainment contracts for disney world on the line, Sid's big challenges presented a lot to lose. In 1987 Sid's "SECOND" movie 'Joe vs the Volcano' he worked as an extra (backround) quickly learning the reality of main acting roles are extremely hard to get & the competetion is fierce. but Sid's first week as an extra there was no denying his talents, the director gave him a speaking role. In 1993 Sid's polynesian contract continued at walt disney world, florida where Sid also enrolled in acting & stunt classes. the timing was amazing. Sid's "THIRD" job was on a Tv show called 'Thunder in Paradise' which filmed near the polynesian stage. the tv producers attended a polynesian show and saw Sid and like a magnet, his talents stood out, soon after he was hired on 'thunder' for (6) episodes as a actor / stuntman. Now 15+ years in the Screen Actors Guild after Sid's bold career change, and
with over 40 tv & film credits, Sid humbly downplays his god given talents that
continues to keep him successfully in demand. |
